Adobe PDF Conversion

Open an existing presentation and export to PDF as follows:

1. Launch Kingsoft Presentation.
2. Click File – Open, select the existing .PPT or .PPTX file and click Open.
3. Now click the Export to PDF button on the toolbar.
4. Click OK to begin conversion.

File Size Comparison

Using the following example presentations, the maximum saving was 5 MB. Your results may vary, but the below presentations were found in the wild using the Google filetype search term (e.g. filetype:ppt).

Change default file association and save formats

The Kingsoft Office Configuration Tools application allows you configure file association and default save formats. Do the following to enable Kingsoft Office open/save access to .DOC/.RTF/.XLS/.PPT files:

1. Open the Kingsoft Office program group.
2. Launch the Kingsoft Office Configuration Tools applications.
3. Click Advanced.
4. Click the File Associations tab and make sure all options are enabled (see screenshot below).
5. Click OK.

You will now be able to double-click Microsoft Office files from Windows Explorer and the appropriate Kingsoft Office application will be launched.

File types supported by Print2PDF Batch Conversion

Print2PDF can batch convert over 90 file types. Here a just a few: AutoCAD DWF (DWF), Microsoft Word (DOC, DOCX), Microsoft Excel (XLS, XLSX), Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT, PPTX), Microsoft Visio (VSD), Microsoft Publisher (PUB), Rich Text Format (RTF), HTML , Text (TXT), Adobe PDF (PDF), JPEG (JPG), GIF, Windows Bitmap (BMP), PNG , TIFF , Windows Metafile (WMF) and Enhanced Metafile (EMF).

Using the Print2PDF Batch Conversion application

The batch conversion application can be used to batch convert multiple files and apply any feature available to Print2PDF (e.g. encryption, Digital ID, file attachments). Do the following:

1. Click Start, then Programs or All Programs.
2. Click the Print2PDF program group, then Print2PDF Batch Conversion.
3. Hold the CTRL key or SHIFT key on the keyboard and left click with the mouse to select multiple files you wish to convert.
4. Configure the conversion options as appropriate.
5. Click Convert to begin conversion.

Using Print2PDF Batch Conversion from Windows Explorer

Batch conversion can be quickly used through the Windows shell. To convert a file from Windows Explorer, do the following:

1. Open Windows Explorer or My Computer and navigate to the file(s) you wish to convert.
2. Left click the file (Hold the CTRL key or SHIFT key on the keyboard to select multiple files).
3. Right click the file.
4. Choose Print2PDF from the popup menu.

You will see the conversion status dialog box appear while the file is being converted. The PDF document will be placed in the same folder as the original and will have the same name as the original but it will maintain the PDF file extension.

Import slides from Microsoft PowerPoint

Do the following to import an existing PowerPoint file (.PPT or .PPTX) into ActivePresenter:

1. Open ActivePresenter.
2. Click the Blank Project link on the start-up page.
3. Change the project name and location as needed, and then click OK.
4. Now click Insert - Insert Slides from PowerPoint.
5. Select the PPT/PPTX file to import, click Open, and then click OK to finalize the import process.

Export to Flash Movie

To export the project as a Flash video file (.FLV), do the following:

1. Click Export - Flash Video (FLV).
2. To just get the raw Flash output, make sure that all Rendering Options are disabled.
3. Click the Browse button and choose the output file name, then click OK.
4. Verify that the output file name is correct and click OK to begin the conversion process.

Record/capture your desktop

Follow these steps to quickly record your desktop:

1. Launch ActivePresenter.
2. Click Capture.
3. Select Full Screen then click OK.
4. Now each time you click your mouse, or press a key on the keyboard, a screenshot will be taken.
5. Click the ActivePresenter icon in the system tray, and then click Stop.
6. Slides will now be generated based on your input.

Convert to HTML slideshow

Once you are done creating your presentation using the steps above, you can now export the results to an HTML slideshow using these steps:

1. Click Export - HTML slideshow.
2. Select the rendering options you would like to include, the image output format (JPG/PNG), and the output location.
3. Click OK to being the export process.
4. Click Yes to view the results in your default web browser or open the INDEX.HTML from the folder you saved the output.

Export to package

Do the following to open an existing .PPT and export the presentation to a package:

1. Launch Kingsoft Presentation and open an existing PowerPoint presentation.
2. Click File and then click Export to Package.
3. Click Browse and select a location to save the package.

Run the package from the Hard Drive or CD-ROM

Locate the folder that you used in the above steps to store the package. In this folder you will see AEOPLAYER.EXE, multiple .DLLs and one or more .PPT files (that you specified in the Export to Package function). Launch AEOPLAYER.EXE and then click Play all to start your presentation.

Open existing Microsoft PowerPoint presentation and Export to PDF

Open an existing presentation and export to PDF as follows:

1. Click File – Open, select the existing file and click Open.
2. Now click the Export to PDF button on the toolbar.

Select the Export PDF options

Once the PDF Export process begins you will have many options to choose from. Do the following to easily create an Adobe PDF with 6 slides per page:

1. Change the file name as you see fit.
2. Click the More button and make sure Export what is set to Handouts, Slides per page is set to 6, and the Order is Horizontal.
3. Click OK to begin conversion.
4. Click Open File to open the file in Adobe Reader.

View the PDF document in Adobe Reader

When you view the converted presentation in Adobe Reader you will see that 6 slides have been printed per page from the PowerPoint presentation. Kingsoft Presentation supports the following PDF export options: Color/grayscale, Slides, Handouts (slides per page, order), Notes pages, and Outline View.
