PureSurf Desktop includes a time table that allows you to set a fixed amount of time for access to the Internet, as well as the time of day that you want the Internet to be available. With the daily usage quota, you can trust that your children will not spent more time online than you wish.

Configure the Access Time Table

Do the following to enable the time table and usage quote:

  1. Right-click the PureSurf Desktop green check mark icon in your system tray.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Enter the Administrator Password you used during installation.
  4. Click the Access Time Table tab.
  5. Enable the option Limit Internet usage according to daily quota.
  6. Allow (green) / Disable (red) access for the days of the week as you wish.
  7. Define how many hours:minutes you wish to allow access per day for the Quota setting.
  8. Click Apply to save the changes.

PureSurf Desktop Access Time Table

The above settings in the screenshot will allow Internet access Monday – Sunday within the hours: 8AM – 9AM, 12PM – 1PM, and 6PM – 9PM. The quota setting will only allow your kids to access the Internet for a total of 2 hours per day within the allowed hours. This flexibility will allow your children to choose when to use their 2 hours per day within the allowed 5 hour access period.
